About this Safari

Deep in the heart of Uganda’s breathtaking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, embark on a trek to encounter the endangered mountain gorillas, witness the lively golden monkeys, and immerse yourself in the ancient culture of the semi-nomadic Batwa people, who are the oldest inhabitants of the Central African rainforest in the Ugandan part of the Virunga Mountains.

This can be a standalone safari or an extension to another East African safari.

• There are no rates for 01 Jan – 28 Feb 2025 as Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Lodge is closed
• Gorilla trekking permits are provided on a first come, first serve basis. Additional charges may apply should gorilla permits only be available in an alternative location
• Gorilla trekking is permitted for children aged 15 years and older
• There is a baggage restriction of 15 kgs on all internal flights, in soft bags
